Bethlehem, Pa. - This story was comprised of eye witness's and our correspondents from the scene. It all started around 2:30 AM Sunday morning in the 200 block of East 3rd Street on the Southside. A man exiting the Puerto Rico Beneficial Society was attacked by a man wielding a bat.

A friend came to his aide and fired a shot that triggered a violent gun battle in the streets of this city dubbed "The Christmas City." When it was over, 30 gun shots rang out, leaving a block long mess with at least 6 people laying around with gun shot wounds. 5 males and 1 female ended up shot.
