Catasauqua, PA - At 5:54 PM Lehigh County stations 2 and 18 were dispatched to 265 Edward Lane for a dwelling fire. Police arrived on scene and reported a working fire. That information was relayed to a Catasauqua fire officer enroute and he transmitted the 2nd alarm.
The 2-story duplex had fire venting out of a second floor window on the 'B' side of the building. A line was stretched through the front door and to the second floor and a quick hit was made on the room and contents job.
Ladder 231 went to the roof and cut a vent hole above the fire room.
The 2nd alarm consisted of Whitehall Engines 1, 2 & 12, Han-Le-Co Engine 3311, Greenawalds Rescue 1141 (F.A.S.T.) and Nancy Run 1442.
A total of 2 lines were stretched and operating. FM 2 is investigating the fire and called out Allentown's arson dog.
